Companies Told to Register Digital Signature
The General Department of Vietnam Customs recently issued the Official Letter 5559/TCHQ-CNTT dated September 20, 2013 to guide provincial/municipal customs departments to implement specific tasks related to the application of public digital signatures in electronic customs procedures.
To implement these tasks effectively, the General Department requested provincial/municipal customs departments to inform importers, exporters and customs agents of the contents of Decision 2341/QD-BTC and instruct them to carry out.
Companies have also been informed to quickly register digital signatures with customs authorities in accordance with the Article 5, Circular 196/2012/TT-BTC.
Customs offices have been told to inform their staffs and brought digital signature registration contents to training courses on VNACCS/VCIS systems.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision 2341/QD-BTC dated September 18, 2013, regulating roadmaps for use of public digital signatures in e-customs procedures.
