Established in 2001, Ky Ha – Chu Lai Development & Investment Company (CDI.Co) is entrusted with the important task of giving advice and support to investment, building and trading in infrastructure works of port, warehouse, industry, new urban areas and services, carrying out general trade and import-export activities, training human resources and exporting labourers. The company, therefore, makes great contributions to the development of Chu Lai Open Economic Area and provincial industrial groups.

After over three years of development, CDI.Co has put some large projects into operation in Chu Lai Open Economic Area, including Truong Hai - Chu Lai Car Manufacturing Factory where CDI.Co acts as a partner. It helps investors in Chu Lai with suggestions on the fields that will enable them to be competitive in the international market. The company can also serve as a representative for investors to settle administrative procedures and obstacles during their investment process in Quang Nam.

CDI.Co is now an investor of three strategic industrial groups of An Luu, Cam Ha and Tan Khai with a favourable position. The land rental terms are attractive. Non-infrastructure land area is wholly exempt from rental. Projects with a labour force of less than 100 located on infrastructure land area are exempt from rental for the first seven years. Those with a labour force of at least 100 are exempt from rental for the first 12 years. After the exemption period, investors lease the infrastructure land area at the agreed price with CDI. Co. Investors also enjoy preferential policies on corporate income tax pursuant to the Government and Quang Nam People's Committee’s regulations. Notably, assistance with labour training expenses, capital and investment procedures, seeking and expanding markets, developing material sources and so on is offered to investors.

Referring to the long-term strategy in Chu Lai Open Economic Area and investment attraction to the industrial groups, Mr. Dien said that CDI.Co continues to link investors, classify strategic investors and facilitate them to conduct business in Chu Lai Open Economic Area. The company is actively seeking financial resources to enable Ky Ha port to receive vessels with a capacity of 20,000 tonnes and is completing the infrastructure of industrial groups.
