Construction Violation Fines up to VND1 Billion

The maximum fine on construction violations is VND1 billion, while the highest fine on violations in real estate business; construction material exploitation, manufacturing and trading; technical infrastructure management; and housing and office development management is VND300 million, according to the Decree 121/2013/ND-CP dated October 10, 2013.

 

Particularly, the act of dismantling, changing the plan, architecture and original image of villas categorised in Group 1 and Group will be respectively fined VND100-120 million and VND80-100 million. The act of building against licences and permits is from VND500 million to VND1 billion.

 

The fine from VND500 million to VND1 billion is also applicable to contractors who keep building projects banned from construction continuation by authorities. The Decree takes effect on November 30, 2013.
