The Hanoi-based National Hospital of Odonto - Stomatology (Vietnam) recently organised an event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of cooperation with the South Korea's Harelips and Cleft Palate Operation Association to provide free surgeries for children with harelips and cleft palate in Vietnam. The South Korean representative delegation was led by Professor Shin Hyo Keun.
The cooperation programme has successfully helped 800 children with harelips and cleft palate. All surgeries are free of charge and patients are treated at the National Hospital of Odonto - Stomatology.
Professor Shin Hyo Keun and seven professors from South Korea participating in the programme were awarded the "Commemorative medals for the health of people." This exalted award recognises the healthcare achievements of South Korean physicians in Vietnam and marks the 10-year friendship and cooperation between the two countries' health sectors.
