Tra Phi JSC: Great Efforts to Grow
With great efforts and strong focus on technology innovation and the improvement of human resources, Tra Phi Joint Stock Company is gradually building up its brand name in the domestic market and marking its milestones in the packaging industry in Tay Ninh province.
Tra Phi Joint Stock Company, which used to be a state-owned company under the Tay Ninh Sugar Company, was privatised in 2001 under Decree 44/CP dated on June 29, 1998 of the Prime Minister. In the process of establishment and development, the company has strived to learn and gain more experience, invest in the equipment and technology lines to increase the plant's capacity to 17 million bags of sugar per year. Besides, the company has applied the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system; accordingly, the quality of the products are always stable and recognised by customers. In recent years, although the economic downturn has had negative impacts on customers, affecting the company's operation, the dynamics of leadership and unity of all staff has helped the company to achieve significant outcomes. In 2012, the revenue of the company reached VND120 billion, contributing to the local budget and creating many jobs.
The success of the company is seen in the suitable development of human resources; annually, the company provides training programmes for skilled workers to build a skilled labour team to effectively contribute to the productivity of the company. More importantly, the company always tries its best to ensure the rights of labour, and provide good living conditions for their employees as well as create a friendly working environment, thereby encouraging the employees and increasing manufacturing productivity.
In addition to business success, the company has marked many achievements in social activities. Annually, the company always deducts part of its earnings for the social activities relating to funds for the poor and the victims of Agent Orange, and supports victims of floods in Central Vietnam, and visits recognized families. Its activities have been recognised by the local leaders and praised by the people.
In the upcoming time, despite the challenges facing the economy, the leadership and all employees of the Tra Phi JSC is determined to keep its good business performance by investing in new machinery and establishing a new plant to increase its capacity and create more jobs for local people, as well as raising living standards for workers of the company.
