Motorola Introduces 10 New Products in Vietnam

During the opening day of the 10th Vietnam Telecomp-Electronics 2004 exhibition in Hanoi on November 9, the US communications giant Motorola officially launched 10 of its newest model mobile phones in Vietnam, the largest launch of a mobile phone producer in the market.

The 10 products are divided into four groups namely Motolife, Motochic, Motomedia and Mototech. Mobile phones in the Motolife group have a low price of from VND900,000 (US$57.3) to around VND2 million (US$127.4), meeting US standards. Motochic cellphones are "super thin" with some models such as Motorola Razor V3 and A668, which are fashionable, come with cameras attached and a host of modern functions.

The two Motomedia handset models, the E398 and E680, have surround 3D sound and a VGA 262K image recording capacity of two hours. They also have MP3 functionality. Meanwhile, Mototech mobile phones are also used as handheld mobile personal computers. With many outstanding functions and high tech features, the price of mobile phones in this fourth group are relatively high, for example the V3 model costs VND11.9 million (US$758).

At the opening day of the exhibition, Motorola also introduced a mobile phone model which is also used as a walkie-talkie, the V303p (pushtotalkmoto) with a price of VND5 million (US$318.4). The phone is also equipped with a camera.
