CADIVI Affirms Trademark with Quality

The Vietnam Electronic Wire and Cable Corporation (CADIVI), set up on October 6, 1975, is a State-owned enterprise specialising in manufacturing electric wire and cable for the economy and for daily consumption. CADIVI's products have become famous among Vietnamese and foreign consumers.

CADIVI has various products, including domestic wires, power wire and cable, bare overhead conductor, water-blocked cable and control cable. All the products are manufactured under international standards, such as ISO 9001:2000, JIS, ASTM, BS and IEC, with high safety, electric conduction, low energy waste and a long lifetime guarantee. The company has manufactured underground and hanging medium voltage cables for oil exploitation and waterway works of 110kV, 220kV, and 500kV. Foreign investors said that CADIVI's products are of the same quality as wires and cables produced by well known manufacturers in the Republic of Korea.

In the context of fierce competition among domestic and foreign electric wire and cable manufacturers, CADIVI has always focused on improving the quality and renewing designs and samples of its products to meet customers' demands. The company has developed many projects on modern technologies. These include a production line for underground low and medium voltage cables. CADIVI’s products can now replace imported goods of the same kind. So far, the company's products have been available in almost all localities nationwide accounting for 25 per cent of the market share. To stand firm in the market, the company identified that it should gain a firm foothold in the domestic market before entering the international one.

In recent years, CADIVI's products have been exported to Iraq, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Taiwan. Despite the small volume of exported products, the company has always believed in and affirmed a Vietnamese market during Vietnam's WTO accession. Apart from its traditional market base, CADIVI is planning to enter other potential markets, such as the US. The transmission and engineering industries in the US have a huge demand for electric wire and cable. The company has planned to export three major items, including magnet electric wire, electric wire for civil use and low voltage power cable. So far, the company has developed co-operative relations with 160 electric wire and cable manufacturing companies from 30 countries and territories in the world, and is a member of the International Wire and Machinery Association. CADIVI’s products have been voted as Vietnam High quality goods and top Vietnamese favourite goods by readers of Saigon Entrepreneur newspaper. Also, the company won a gold medal for its twisted low voltage cable LV-ABC-A/XLPE, 20A and 30A automata at international trade fairs and the Quality Star cup. The company’s products have been chosen as major industrial products from Ho Chi Minh City. In recognition of the efforts made by cadres and workers of the company, it was presented with the Labour Order, first class, in 1996 and the Independence Order, third class, in 2000.

In the future, CADIVI will continue to promote its export to other countries in the region and the world. At the same time, it will attract more qualified staff members, investing in its network of shops and agents to provide customers with high quality products.
