At the meeting in Hanoi, the two sides expressed their pleasure to see better bilateral cooperation in economy, trade and investment.

Dr Khuong said the two sides need to have more active measures in trade promotion and organise many business networking activities to provide opportunities of exchange, market expansion and partnership between enterprises.

Mr Xue Xiaofeng said that trade turnover between Vietnam and Zhongshan City reached US$440 million in 2013, up 52.8 percent compared to 2012, of which Vietnam earned US$270 million, up 70.5 percent, and spent US$170 million on imports, up 31.5 percent.
