On June 10, 2014 in Hanoi, 14 research units and enterprises affiliated to the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) and the Human and Environment Forum of Korea (HEF) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in environmental protection technology transfer. This is a continuation document and commitment that the two parties signed over a year ago to strengthen research collaboration, information sharing, technology consulting and capacity building, and coordinate in implementing environmental projects.

The contents of the cooperation MOU are rich, focusing on environmental remediation technology transfer: Treating industrial wastewater, domestic wastewater, dams and lakes and remediating air and soil to safeguard the environment and sustainable development.

Before and after the signing ceremony, representatives of affiliated units of VACNE and HEF directly exchanged and introduced their capacity to expand multilateral and bilateral cooperation. The two sides will achieve good results in this technology transfer thanks to the similarities in structure, culture, science and technology.
