In implementing the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 08/CT-TTg on improving the quality of vehicle gas emission inspection and testing in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Decision 249/2005/QD-TTg, the Ministry of Transport requested agencies and units concerned to intensify examination and monitoring vehicle gas emissions towards Euro 4-equivalent standards. The work will be reported to the ministry before September 30, 2014.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Register will carry out emission control schemes on motorcycles in provinces and cities approved by the Prime Minister in the Decision No. 909/QD-TTg dated June 17, 2010: Socialisation with the participation of motorcycle manufacturers, assemblers, dealers, repairers and servicers. Gas emission accreditation is the last phase of vehicle maintenance and repairing.

The Ministry of Transport also assigned investors and its affiliated companies and medical facilities to strictly implement gas emission reduction measures to reduce environmental pollution, especially measures to reduce dust, emissions and environmental sanitation.
