Vietnam Attracts US$1.98Bln in Fresh FDI in Jan-Nov

Vietnam licensed 630 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total pledged investment of over US$1.98 billion in the period between January 1 and November 20, 2004.

This has raised the total number of operational FDI projects in the country to 5,023, capitalized at nearly US$45.1 billion.

Taiwan is the largest foreign investor in Vietnam in the first 11 months of this year with total investment of US$410.4 million, followed by South Korea with US$318 million, Japan with US$200.84 million, the British Virgin Islands with US$176.68 million, Canada with US$153.96 million, Singapore with US$113.28 million and Hong Kong with US$112.5 million.
