Boosting Vietnam - South Korea Business Cooperation
President Vu Tien Loc of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) recently hosted a meeting with Mr Shin Jong Soo, Chairman of the Association of Korean Small and Medium Companies in Vietnam (KSMC) at VCCI Head Office in Hanoi. At the meeting, the guest represented KSMC and South Korea-based KT Corporation’s Branch to hand five laptops to VCCI.
With this laptop handover programme, KSMC and KT Corporation wanted to build a close, trustful relationship and mutual understanding with VCCI. The two sides also hoped to maintain cooperation and support in promoting, exchanging and appealing South Korean firms to invest and do business in Vietnam.
On behalf of VCCI, Dr Loc thanked KSMC for the gift and expressed his hope that KSMC in particular and the South Korean business community in general will support and aid Vietnamese fishermen with fishing boats, gears and communications equipment for easier life at sea and more effective protection of sovereign homeland. He also expected the two sides will further enhance cooperation to link businesses.
KSMC, founded in 2005, now has about 200 members. Its head office is in Hanoi.
