Vietnam Airlines, Jet Airways Open Vietnam - India Routes

Recently, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and Indian Jet Airways announced to have entered into a reciprocal code-share agreement to provide seamless travel services between the two countries for passengers.

 

The code-sharing will provide more choice for air travellers between India and Vietnam, with convenient connections over international gateways of Singapore and Bangkok (Thailand.)

 

Under the arrangement, Vietnam Airlines will place its marketing code on Jet Airways’ services on routes, including Bangkok- Mumbai/Delhi, and Singapore - Mumbai/Delhi/Chennai, starting on August 4. In turn, Jet Airways will place its marketing code on Vietnam Airlines’ flights from Bangkok and Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

 

The two sides will also place its marketing codes on flights between Vietnam and India via Bangkok from November 5, 2014.

 

This partnership is expected to further increase the demand for business and tourist travel between India and Vietnam in the coming time.
