Caltex - Official Sponsor of Wushu Vietnam

Caltex Vietnam - the official, unique sponsor of Wushu Vietnam - organised a farewell ceremony on November 19 for 22 Wushu athletes who would depart for the 6^th Asian Wushu Champion competition in Myanmar.

"Over the last seven years, Caltex has witnessed the mature and the victory of young Vietnamese Wushu talents in international courses. The support of Caltex to this martial art is one of ways to prove the company's long-term commitment with Vietnam," remarked Le Van Khai, President of Caltex Vietnam.

Since its presence in Vietnam in 1994, Caltex Vietnam has continuously played an important role in activities for community development. In 1998, Caltex was the official sponsor for Vietnam Wushu League with a total of over US$10,000. The company also spent over US$700,000 for activities to develop communities such as poverty reduction, pre-school education, financial support for rural women and many other programmes.
