Vietnam Widens Visa Exemptions

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung recently signed to enact the Resolution of the cabinet monthly meeting for September where the Prime Minister requested the Steering Committee for Tourism Development to assign the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, and relevant ministries to seek ways to renovate the visa granting process to facilitate foreign arrivals while designing proper policies to spur domestic tourism development.

They were told to put forward comprehensive measures to improve the quality of and diversify tourism products.

 

The Government also asked the Ministry of Transport to press on the execution progress of and disbursement of key transportation projects; research investment encouragement policies on infrastructure construction, open up the airspace to boost bilateral and multilateral civil aviation cooperation to boost tourism development as well as socioeconomic development.
