Officially categorised into the Group 1, a group of credit institutions with healthy operations and stable development by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the Southeast Asia Joint Stock Commercial Bank (SeABank) has confirmed its firm position over the past 20 years of construction and development.
Affirming its position as an exemplary retail bank
SeABank, a well-known visionary brand in the Vietnamese financial and banking sector, has 154 transaction offices in 23 cities across the country, nearly VND100 trillion of total assets and VND5,446 billion of registered capital.

Powerful financial strength, modern technological foundation and professional management system has made the name of SeABank today. The presence of foreign strategic shareholders like Societe Generale and domestic strategic shareholders like VMS MobiFone and PVGas shows the far-seeing business strategy of SeABank. Over the past 20 years, SeABank has now completed its retail banking model and provided a full range of financial services from customers, ranging from individuals and business households to small and big companies.

At present, SeABank is one of a few banks in Vietnam to be an official member of two world leading international card issuers, Visa and MasterCard. SeABank is also an authorised agent for Western Union in Vietnam and is the first bank to successfully deploy the multi-utility automatic banking service (Autobank) of international banking standards.

Integrating business with social responsibility
Not only being a trusted safe keeper for customers, SeABank also has a high sense of social responsibility and actively participates community education development, environmental protection, charity and study encouragement. The bank typically funded VND5 billion for building Cho Moi Kindergarten in Bac Kan province; sponsored “Like Never Being Parted” TV Show for years, raised money for victims of flood and natural disasters, donated money to Agent Orange victims and poor children, and supported fishermen in Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands to protect their fishing grounds. These activities have built up the image of SeABank as a pro-community bank.

SeABank also showed spirit of international humanity by raising funds for Japanese victims of earthquake and tsunami in 2011 and for Filipino after Haiyan Typhoon.

Winning reputable awards
With its outstanding contributions to social and economic development, SeABank has been presented a lot of prestigious awards like the Third Class Labour Order; the Certificates of Merits and the Emulation Flags from the Prime Minister and the State Bank of Vietnam.
