US$1 Billion Surplus in Agricultural Export in Jan-Feb
Vietnam’s agricultural exports were projected at US$1.78 billion in February, totalling US$4.177 billion in the first two months of 2015, down 1.9 percent year on year.
Particularly, major agricultural products brought in US$$1.87 billion, down 5.3 percent; seafood earned US$907 million, down 9.4 percent; and forestry exports brought home US$1.046 billion, up 8.9 percent.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said Vietnam spent US$3.2 billion on importing agricultural products in the first two months, up 3.9 percent year on year.
