Vietnam - South Korea Science and Technology Institute Set up
The Government of Vietnam recently issued Decree 50/2015/ND-CP on the establishment of the Vietnam - South Korea Science and Technology Institute under the agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of South Korea.
The institute, under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, has legal status with its own seal and has accounts at the State Treasury and commercial banks.
The institute will launch tasks on developing source technology, upgrading technology for key and strategic industries, promoting national, critical and integrated products to replace imported technologies.
Structurally, the institute comprises the Executive Council, the Director, the Deputy Directors, the Council for Science, research and development units and other units.
It is headquartered in Hanoi and may be branched in other localities in Vietnam and foreign countries when necessary.
