Vinashin Records US$478Mln Production Value in 2004

The Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) attained a total production value of VND7,525 billion (US$478 million) in 2004, surpassing 5.5 per cent of the annual target and representing an on-year increase of 41.5 per cent.

Of the sum, the total annual revenues accounted for VND5,560 billion (US$353 million) in the year, up 49.8 per cent against 2003.

The state-run corporation paid VND137.24 billion (US$8.71 million) to the state coffers during 2004.

The joint ventures of the corporation, including Hyundai, Shell Gas and Visco, made VND1,353 billion (US$85.9 million) in the total production value and VND1,398 billion (US$88.76 million) in the year.
