Vietnam - Eurasian Economic Union Business Forum
Vietnam signed a free trade agreement (FTA) with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) comprising Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan in late May 2015. This was an important event as it created opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to access a vast, populous market with a lot of trade potential and investment cooperation. With the desire to provide information on EEU markets, policies and partners to support the business community, in the framework of the meeting of the Vietnam - Russia Intergovernmental Committee, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will coordinate the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Eurasian Economic Commission to open the Vietnam - Eurasian Economic Union Business Forum on November 25, 2015 at the International Trade Centre (ICC), No. 11 Le Hong Phong Street, Hanoi.
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov will attend and deliver speeches to the forum. This is an important opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to directly meet and talk with Vietnam - EEU FTA negotiators to learn about the agreement, its terms, principles and pluses. The forum will be divided into three thematic groups: Petroleum - energy, agriculture - food, and industry to facilitate more effective business exchange.
