“I will definitely revisit Vietnam to complete my UNESCO sites hunt”, said Lily, a famous travel blogger of Malaysia on her occasion to survey Vietnam destinations. According to her, Vietnam is the one of the must visit countries in ASEAN. “Please come to Vietnam to discover UNESCO sites and enjoy spring rolls. They are unforgettable”.
Like most travellers, Lily Riani, a famous travel blogger of Malaysia, has known Vietnam as famous for its past war. Thus, she was very surprised and changed her perception when she was invited to join the survey of Vietnam Administration of Tourism on Heritage Destinations in Vietnam for 13 journalists and travel firms of Malaysia in order to provide more information about tourism potential of Vietnamese land and people:

I soon learnt about the charming historical towns of Hue and Hanoi, the scenic landscape of Trang An and nature's greatest cave wonders; Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park and many more. The experience was priceless,” said Lily.
The travel blogger emphasized the great difference of Vietnam tourism compared to other destinations of ASEAN countries. Accordingly, Vietnam is the proud owner of 8 UNESCO sites justifies Vietnam’s richness in heritage, its colourful culture and abundance untouched nature. This warranted Vietnam as one of the must visit countries in ASEAN.
As a UNESCO hunter, Lily is thoroughly impressed with all the sites and one that captivated her the most is Trang An Grottoes in Ninh Binh, also known as Halong Bay on Land; one of its kind in ASEAN.
Through the trip, Lily experienced famous food of Vietnam. She learned that there are more than one type of spring role got me excited to see and sample the rest. “I plan to try all spring roll types in Vietnam and write about it in my blog. It is excellent”.
Not only travelling Vietnam destinations, Lily also shared Vietnam tourism the ways to attract more foreign tourists in general and Malaysia ones in particular. The suggestion of travel blogger would be to emphasize more on the enchanted central Vietnam, the wondrous National Parks, or outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and extreme sports (rock climbing, abseiling, rafting). “Central Vietnam, its heritage trail and national parks have more to offer to travellers; emphasizing, promoting and focusing on central Vietnam will help to distribute and spread the tourism economy across Vietnam.”
To contribute to the development of Vietnam’s tourism broadcasting, as a Social Media Influencer, Lily said she had been promoting, spreading and sharing her experiences ever since she got back, broadcasting on all Social Media platform, encouraging her followers to try and experience the same. Lily said she was able to highlight on central Vietnam, educate them on the many UNESCO heritage sites available here as well as provide them with tips and pointers of where to go and how best to plan their route.
“I will definitely revisit Vietnam to complete my UNESCO sites hunt and hopefully cover Sapa and Tam Coc in my next trip. Not to forget, my spring roll food trail,” said Lily.
Low Chou Yeng, Director of World Link Travel, Malaysia:
I appreciate tours to Vietnam because it is easy to fly from Malaysia to Vietnam, only taking about 3 hours. It is suitable for travel agents to perform tours from 3-5 days. Vietnam has a lot of UNESCO destinations. Besides, destinations like Hanoi, Central, Ho Chi Minh City have very good food, especially seafood. Also various shopping malls are strong points to attract foreigner travels, including Malaysians.
