VCCI Receives South African Embassy
Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Dr Doan Duy Khuong received a working mission from the Embassy of South Africa in Vietnam, led by Ambassador Kgomotso Ruth Magau in Hanoi on February 18.
At the meeting, Dr Khuong briefed the mission on Vietnam’s socioeconomic situations and VCCI’s cooperation projects. He emphasised South Africa’s importance as a gateway for Vietnamese companies to reach the broader market of Africa.
VCCI Vice President also hoped that the two sides will strengthen exchanges and provide information for further bilateral cooperation development, thus enabling Vietnamese companies to engage in production and investment in South Africa and vice versa.
For her part, Ambassador Kgomotso Ruth Magau also introduced South Africa and its strengths in wine production and mining. She expected to see more cooperation in various fields to strengthen friendship and comprehensive ties.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, including stronger economic, commercial and investment cooperation at local and enterprise levels. Dr Khuong introduced cooperation and investment potential between South Africa and some Vietnamese provinces like Nghe An and Danang, while the guest expected to learn more about investment cooperation with Thai Binh province.
