Operating Conditions for Currency Exchange Agents

From July 2016, economic entities can only run foreign currency exchange agents after they meet following conditions: Being established or having business registration according to the law; having agents placed in 3-star or higher tourism accommodation facilities, international border gates, air ticket agents, tourism and maritime agents; having separate transaction places equipped with enough facilities like telephone, fax machine and safes; having employees certified by authorised credit institutions, etc.

Specially, an economic entity will be allowed to act as a foreign exchange agent for only one credit institution licensed and it may discuss to open foreign exchange dealer in one or more locations in areas where it has headquarters or branches.
