VCCI President Farewells WB Vice President

On July 28, 2016 at VCCI Head Office in Hanoi, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc received Madam Victoria Kwakwa to exchange a fond farewell upon her conclusion of her service in Vietnam as the World Bank (WB) Country Director.
Mr Loc thanked Madam Victoria Kwakwa for her contribution and support to the Government and the business community during her service in Vietnam. She is deserved to be a mentor for her dedication to policy advice, experience sharing and support financing for Vietnam, he added.
 
Victoria Kwakwa significantly contributed to elevating Vietnam - World Bank ties from cooperation to partnership and creating a strong foundation for partnership development.
 
VCCI President Loc congratulated the guest for being appointed WB Vice President for the East Asia and Pacific. This appointment illustrated the WB’s recognition and appreciation of her outstanding contributions, competence, experience and reputation.
 
He also hoped that Madam Victoria Kwakwa will continue to give important contributions to Vietnam’s national development strategy on her new position and to Vietnam - WB relations. He particularly asked her to support, assist and guide Vietnam to develop a strong business force with a strong capacity of extensive integration.
 
Victoria Kwakwa said, Vietnam is like her second home. She also appreciated Vietnam’s achievements, particularly in ​​macroeconomic stability, social welfare policy and private economic development. She hoped that Vietnam will endeavour to promote its results and affirmed that she as well as the WB will continue to give positive and effective supports to Vietnam to develop and achieve its goals.
