Vietnam to Host Int'l Fisheries Fair 2005 in June

The Vietnam Association for Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) will organise an international trade fair on the fisheries industry at the Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition and Convention Center (HIECC) on June 14-16 this year, with participants from both domestic and foreign firms.

Vietfish 2005 will showcase products such as fresh, frozen, dried or salted fish and shrimp, equipment, machinery, packing, chemicals, marine feed, seafood processing and others matters related to the fisheries industry, said Nguyen Huu Dzung, VASEP General Secretary.

Meanwhile businesses will also have chance to access to fisheries services, distribution information exchanges, raising technology and the applying of international food standards HACCP at the fair.

Vietfish 2005 is only one of a few international fairs organised in Asia annually. Vietfish 2004 attracted 170 exhibitors from both domestic and foreign with 135 booths.
