Poor farmer households this year can borrow a total of VND7,500 billion (USUS$477.7 million) from the Bank for Social Policy and the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to develop farming forests and aquaculture production as well as establish businesses and modern livestock breeding to reduce poverty.
From 2000-2004, 5.1 million farmer households were provided with loans totaling VND37,000 billion (US$2.3 billion).
