Three Products Added to National Product Development Programme

The Prime Minister recently approved supplements to the list of national products, which will take effect in 2017, as part of the National Product Development Programme to 2020. Accordingly, brackish water shrimp (including black tiger shrimp and white-leg shrimp), high-quality Vietnamese coffee and Vietnamese ginseng will be added to the list of national products starting from 2017.

In addition to policies stipulated in the Prime Minister’s Decision 2441/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2010, he asked the Ministry of Science and Technology to work with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant sectors and localities to build and submit to him a number of special preferential mechanisms and policies for each of the three national products mentioned above.
