Danang City Calls for Singaporean Investors to the Central

 

Authorities of central Danang City on February 22, 2005 called for Singaporean investors to actively set up projects in the Central of Vietnam at the third meeting of the Vietnam-Singapore Steering Committee for Investment Promotion.

 

Mr Tran Van Minh, Vice Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee, affirmed that with economic potential and rapid economic growth of the region thanks to the East-West Corridor and other plans of action, Danang and the Central ensure enough conditions to meet all requirements of Singaporean investors.

 

According to Mr Nguyen Bich Dat, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, the steering committee continued discussing business opportunities in Vietnam, particularly in the region, for Singaporean enterprises and introducing feasible joint venture projects between the two countries at the meeting. 

 

The meting also witnessed a aquaculture joint venture project’s signing ceremony between Singaporean Swee Chiol Group and 100 per cent Taiwanese-invested Dat Sanh Co. in Vung Tau City worth VND1,500 billion.
