HCM City to Have Largest Fashion Centre in Vietnam
This is one of the major contents of the industrial development planning of the southern key economic region to 2025, with a vision to 2035, recently approved by the Government.
By 2025, the garment - textile and leather - footwear industries will be developed as follows: Developing garment - textile and leather - footwear industries in association with environmental protection and non-farm rural labour movement trends; promoting exports and meeting maximum demands in the domestic market; strongly developing supporting industrial products, making raw and auxiliary materials, and raising added values of apparels and footwear; developing supporting industries for the garment - textile and leather - footwear industries in Dong Nai, Long An and Binh Duong provinces.
In addition, by 2035, resources will be focused on making exports for key markets like the US and the EU.
