The State-owned Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) sets a target to complete all procedures to begin construction of seven power supply works this year.
These seven works include O Mon, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh thermoelectricity, Se San 4, Son La, Ban Chat and Serepok 3 hydropower plants.
Besides, the corporation will also strive to early kick off construction of Ban Uon, Huoi Quang hydropower plants, Nghi Son and Ninh Binh open thermoelectricity plants and seven 500-KV, 33 220-KV and 129 110-KV power grids.
EVN is now preparing for price bidding and early construction of Song Tranh 2, An Khe Kanak and Khe Bo hydropower plants.
The biggest electricity supplier, which produces 90 per cent of electricity in Vietnam, targets to achieve total output of 53.5 billion kWh with a projected growth rate of 13-14 per cent in 2005
