Numerous Incentives for IPs, EZs
The Government recently issued Decree 82/2018/ND-CP on management of industrial parks (IPs) and economic zones (EZs). The ruling specifies policies and incentives for industrial parks and economic zones.
The decree stipulates that an industrial park is a geographical area entitled investment incentives and preferential policies applicable to places categorised into the list of places with difficult socio-economic conditions defined by law. An industrial park established in places with specially difficult socioeconomic conditions are entitled to enjoy incentives applicable to specially difficult socio-economic conditions defined by investment law.
An economic zone is a geographical area entitled to investment incentives and preferential policies applicable to specially difficult socio-economic conditions defined by investment law.
Accommodation and social infrastructure investment projects for workers in industrial parks or economic zones are granted preferences according to laws on construction of social housing.
In addition, tenants in industrial parks or economic zones will be assisted by competent agencies to carry out administrative procedures concerning investment, business, land, environment, labour and trade under the “single-window” mechanism and to recruit workers among other things.
