Mekong Delta Boasts Outstanding Investment Achievements

Seven out of 13 Mekong Delta provinces and cities drew 47 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with over US$800 million of registered capital. Bac Lieu province led with two FDI projects with US$365.76 million. Ben Tre province came second with two FDI projects with US$162.85 million, bringing its FDI value to US$1.021 billion. As of June 20, 2018, the Mekong Delta had 1,467 effective FDI projects with a combined registered capital of over US$20.67 billion.
