Bao Viet Insurer Quickly Compensate Railway Victims

A serious traffic accident due to a speeding Vietnam Railway Corp. train on March 12 in Lang Co area, central Thua Thien Hue province, killed ten passengers and injured many more.

To help solve the problem rapidly and effectively, Vietnam Insurance Corp. (Bao Viet) has immediately asked its affiliates, including Bao Viet Hanoi, Bao Viet in Thua Thien Hue province and Bao Viet in Danang City, to send their staff to the scene of accident and quickly decide compensation rates, with the highest compensation of VND30 million per victim.

As of March 14, Bao Viet in Thua Thien Hue injected an initial sum of VND80 million, and Bao Viet in Danang City pledged to pay hospital fees worth VND130 million for all victims who had treatment at Danang Central Hospital and Transport Hospital in Danang City.
