On August 20, 2019, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the Central Economic Development Conference at FLC Quy Nhon International Convention Center, Binh Dinh province.
The conference focused on discussing mechanisms and policies to deal with bottlenecks, providing favorable conditions for provinces and cities to make breakthroughs and achieve sustainable development. It discussed mechanisms for mobilizing infrastructure development resources, developing maritime tourism and important fields to sustain central coastal economic development.
Representing provinces and cities in the Central Region, Binh Dinh province put forth issues concerning transport route investment, seaport and economic zone development policies to the Government. It also proposed the Government to turn Phu Cat Airport into an international airport to facilitate domestic and international tourists to Binh Dinh in particular and to Vietnam in general.
