Refined wood carvings combining high technology with traditional craftwork make My A’s trademark wooden furniture famous at home and abroad. VIB Forum interviewed Mr Nguyen Ngoc Quynh, Deputy Director of My A Wooden Furniture Company.
Could you give me a brief introduction to My A furniture company?
Like others in
The company continues annual growth rates of 10-15 per cent and will become a major supplier of high quality wooden furniture. My A trademark is now famous at home and abroad.
As most of My A products are made of precious wood from natural forests, how will you continue the timber supply ?
The timber supply is most important to the company. So far, precious wood such as Mun, Trac, Giang Huong, Gu are imported. In the future, the supply will be exhausted. The company has expanded the production line using planted timber from Que Vo industrial zone. At the same time, the company will make the best use of every single cubic metre of precious wood. With high technology, the company can make high quality and diversified products from planted timber.
It is reported that My A products are only for rich customers and imported furniture is now available on the Vietnamese market, what do you think about the future for My A’s market share ?
It is true. We focus on product quality. The timber from natural forest has fine veins and colours and the beauty is multiplied by skilled artisans. To meet the market’s demand, My A has combined Asian and European styles and produced high quality products from different kinds of wood. The products meet the demand of customers in both style and price. Imported furniture has made the Vietnamese market more competitive. However, My A will maintain its market share due to our high quality products. It ensures the sustainable development of the My A trademark.
Very soon, My A will market new products of planted timber with diversified styles to meet the demand of customers in quality and price. In other words, the products will be at low prices but with good value and suitable to the Vietnamese climate.
