MM Mega Market Opens New Business Location in Phu Quoc Island

MM Mega Market Vietnam officially opened a new business model – the first depot (a form of transit warehouse, storage and distribution of goods) in Phu Quoc island city.

The new MM Depot located at Suoi Da Hamlet, Duong To, Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang province with a variety of stored goods to be distributed including frozen food, dry food and non-food serving the professional customers group such as hotels, including– 4-5 stars hotels, 2-3 stars eateries and local grocery stores on Phu Quoc.

The Opening Depot Phu Quoc aims to bring supply chain solution that is faster and more convenient for the HORECA customers, an important customer group of MM Mega Market in the context of Phu Quoc is transforming into the “first island city of Vietnam”. 

MM depot on Phu Quoc island city provides frozen food, dry food, and non-food products as well as specialize categories dedicating for HORECA customers. The storage area can store up to 25 tons, with distinguished area for different types of products ensuring the best quality.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan, Operation Director of MM Mega Market (Vietnam) shared: “The depot model – a location to store and distribute products bring the ability to supply a variety of products yet still ensuring food safety with competitive price for our customers in Phu Quoc – a highly developed area of ​​travel services and hospitality but still has a lot of limitations in the supply chain. In addition, we also aim to distribute goods to the grocery stores here - the group of customers who also have the need to import wholesale goods and resell to individual customers on the island”.

Along with the MM Mega Market Rach Gia center officially put into operation since 2012, MM Depot Phu Quoc is expected to better meet the demand for safe and high quality food and goods of the island city. Recently, MM Mega Market Rach Gia center has just been honored "Achieving good achievements in ensuring food safety throughout 2019" from the Food Hygiene and Safety Department of Kien Giang province.

Phu Quoc to become Vietnam’s first island city of the country aiming to be “a central for high quality tourism and leisure of the region” as many domestic and international brand names from sectors relating to tourism, hotel, restaurants have heavily invested in the recent years. Phu Quoc currently has many other urban tourist complexes that are gradually being put into operation to serve tourists such as over 700 accommodation establishments with more than 20,000 rooms and 15 high-end resorts come into operation, of which more than half of them are 3-5 star standards, ... these are also key customer groups of MM Mega Market.
