Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh decided to establish a special working group to facilitate the implementation of investment projects carried out by central and local agencies.

The working group, led by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, was established from the restructuring of the Working Group for Foreign Investment Cooperation, established in 2020.

The working group is responsible for assisting the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating joint efforts to handle obstacles arising in the implementation of the projects and monitor the settlement process from central to local levels. It will explain and guide consistent enforcement of investment and related laws to remove obstacles and facilitate the implementation of investment projects.

Besides, it will help the Prime Minister direct and coordinate activities among central and local agencies to solve problems arising from the implementation of investment projects; propose ways to handle problems within their jurisdiction; urge and supervise the process of troubleshooting.

At the same time, it will advise the Prime Minister on policies and solutions to promptly grasp investment cooperation opportunities in the new context; and actively approach and negotiate with large, high-tech corporations to mobilize and promote investment.

The working group will monitor public investment projects (including projects funded by ODA and concessional loans from foreign donors); business investment projects (including domestic investment projects and FDI projects); and public-private partnership investment projects.
