Sannam Food Joint stock Co. - Strength from Safe Food

The Sannam Foodstuff Joint stock Company (Sannamfood) was set up in late 2003 from a food processing establishment of the Sannam Company - a prestigious company in in the fields of engineering, technology transfer and food processing.

 

Since its early days, Sannamfood has considered food safety as its major advantage in production and business activities. The company specialises in processing tropical fruit, food and foodstuff for export, producing liquor and is involved in the hotel and restaurant business.

 

The company has combined research, production and business activities to increase its market share in and gradually reach foreign countries. Sannamfood has become a strong trademark. The company’s products are sold in and exported to foreign countries and territories, including the , , , the Czech Republic , , , and .

 

To meet consumers’ demand, Sannamfood has developed three main products with three trademarks Sunsfarm, Eropa and Tan Mountain .

 

Sunfarm consists of dried fruit products, and fruit juice and wine. Abundant tropical fruit in is a precious material for the food processing industry, especially dried fruit products. To have stable, safe material supplies for production, Sannamfood has invested in developing material supply areas in Ha Tay, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai and Son La. Fresh and ripe fruit is selected and harvested with certain standards, then processed with modern technology and equipment without using chemicals and artificial colours. The processing follows regulations of the hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP). As a result, the company’s Sunsfarm dried fruit products have become a favourite choice of consumers because of their high quality. Via its activities, Sannamfood has helped farmers get their products consumed.

 

Two other trademarks, Eropa and Tan Mountain , have become famous. Eropa is a trademark of bread, cakes and fast food produced with modern European technology while Nui Tan Mountain is the name of the company’s restaurant chain, which serves Vietnamese traditional food.

 

In the last two years, Sannamfood has made great efforts in research, production and market expansion. The company has placed priority on developing a strong trademark not only in the local market but also in foreign countries. With the motto of ‘good looking, safe, delicious and cheap’ products, Sannamfood has always attached importance to the quality of its products. The company has been granted the HACCP certificate. In fact, not many Vietnamese people have paid attention to food safety yet. However, Duong Thuy Quyen, director of Sannamfood affirmed that the demand for safe food would increase rapidly in two years’ time. Then quality would be a decisive factor. Sannamfood wishes to co-operate with authorised agencies to improve the local people’s awareness of the importance of safe food for their safety and health.

 

In its development orientations, Sannamfood continues to research and develop food and drinks from local materials. It will diversify products to meet increasingly high requirements of the domestic and foreign markets. To that end, the company will continue to co-operate with foreign partners to apply modern technology and equipment to improve production capacity and quality of products, thus helping increase the competitiveness of products under Sannamfood trademarks.
