Waste Water Treatment in IZs
According to the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh city (HEPZA), this year, five IZs will build waste water treatment facilities: Cat Lai 2, Binh Chieu, Vinh Loc, Tan Thoi Hiep and North West Cu Chi. According to the rules, those IZs have to build waste water treatment facilities as their rented land surpassed 75 per cent. Meanwhile, The Industrial and Information Service Centre (HEPZA) signed memorandum with Glowtec Environmental Corporation Pte., Ltd (Singapore) on the treatment of environment pollution in HCMC’s IZs. It is the first step of the joint venture between HEPZA and Glowtec. The venture will also provide related environmental services to EPZs and IZs in Ho Chi Minh city.
