VCCI Appreciates Former Director of Action Aid

Vice Executive President of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Doan Duy Khuong Ph.D, on August 9, 2005 in Hanoi presented VCCIrsquo;s certificate of merit to Mr. Ramesh Khadka, former director of Action Aid Vietnam, for his contributions to the development of Vietnamrsquo;s business community.
 
Mr. Ramesh Khadka is now in charge of Action Aid director for Asia. The UKrsquo;s non-government organisation, specialising in poverty reduction, has carried out many programmes and studies to assist the local business community, including studies of gender equality in leather and footwear and textile industries, and assistance programmes for sectors that do not have children involved in their labour force. 
   
At the meeting, Mr. Khuong highlighted Action Aid Vietnamrsquo;s cooperation with the Vietnamese enterprises and hoped to see a long-term, fruitful cooperation between Action Aid Vietnam and VCCI in general and between Mr. Ramesh Khadka and VCCI in particular.
