Dinh Co Plant to Increase Gas Production
The British Petroleum Vietnam Company (BP Vietnam) has announced it will increase the capacity of the Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to 15 million cu.m of gas per day.
The upgrading is expected to finish by the end of 2006, it said. The Dinh Co plant now produces about 13.2 million cu.m of gas per day.
BP Vietnam, operator of the Nam Con Son gas project, will also enlarge the gas compression system on the Lan Tay gas platform in the Nam Con Son gas field and is expected to finish the work by mid-2007.
According to BP's assessment, Vietnam's gas market is growing strong with demands expected to reach 9 billion cu. m in 2010, and 15 billion cu.m in 2015.
