ADFIAP Council Conference 62

In September 2005, the Council Conference of the Association of Development Financial Institutions of Asia and Pacific (ADFIAP) was held in Hanoi. The 62^nd Conference was organised by the Bank of Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) with participants from 14 countries. The Conference approved the minute of the 61^st Conference in Fiji in May 2005, the report of the Secretary General on the activities of the Association, and discussed the agenda and venue for the next meeting and conference. The Council Conference in Hanoi focused on a credit programme for SMEs, local economic development, credit for sustainable development and others.

 

BIDV has been an official ADFIAP member since 2001 and is currently a council member. BIDV staff members have participated in ADFIAP training programmes on risk management, financial support to SMEs and sustainable development. Since 2002, BIDV has participated in Rural Financial Projects I and II funded by the World Bank.
