Samsung : Top Trademark in Vietnam

Samsung Vina Electronic Company, a joint venture between TIE JSC and Samsung Electronic Company and established in 1996 has made great efforts in market survey and technology research to introduce high quality products in Vietnam. As a result, GFK Asia, a market study company, has recently considered Sam Sung as Trademark N.1 in Vietnam.
 
Samsung Vina is avant-guard in digital technology, creating a revolution and overtaking others to receive the prize “Trademark N. 1” in Vietnamese market for flat TV screen, coloured computer screen and liquid screen. From a low grade producer, after investing billions of US dollars in research and development, Samsung has supplied customers high grade products world-wide, especially in Vietnam. According to Mr Nguyen Van Dao, Deputy Director General, Samsung Vina, the consumption of high grade products has increased from 5 per cent to over 10 per cent. Most impressive is the latest audio-visual product with the slogan “Imagine - complete satisfaction”. Mr Sang Youl Eom, General Director, Samsung Vina, said that the campaign will make Samsung a trademark of style and technology in digital era.
 
Samsung has reaffirmed its trademark in Vietnam with increasing growth rates. The turnover was US$64 million in 2001, US$89 million in 2002, US$117 million in 2003 and US$140 million in 2004. Flat coloured screen TV (CRT TV) makes up 22 per cent of market share in Vietnam. In 2005, Samsung Vina will increase sharply in mobile phone and television. The current market share of 30 per cent in television will increase with new generations of DLP, Plasma, SlimFit.
