Implementing the national major project on strengthening investment and trade ties between Vietnam and Cuba and other countries in the Americas, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has co-operated with the Cuba Chamber of Commerce and Vietnamese embassies in Mexico to organise a delegation of enterprises to attend the 23rd Havana International Fair (FIHAV 23) and explore the Cuban and Mexican markets from October 29 to November 9, 2005.
The Americas is a potential market for some Vietnam’s main exports, including food & foodstuff, rubber, electronics, textiles and garments, footwear, tires and inner tubes, bikes and accessories and handicrafts. The market, in turn, can supply biological products, minerals, fresh fruit, animal and vegetable oil, animal feed, fertiliser, plastic, textile and footwear materials, and equipment to Vietnam. Apart from meetings with partners, visits to production establishments and working sessions with authorised agencies within FIHAV 23 between October 31 and November 5, the Vietnamese delegation will co-operate with the Cuba Chamber of Commerce to organise the second meeting session of the Cuban mission of the Vietnam-Cuba Joint Business Council.

Enterprises which join the delegation will receive a subsidy equal to 50 per cent of costs, as stipulated by the Regulation 45 by the Ministry of Finance. For further information, please contact Mr Tuan Hai or Ms Li from the Department of Internal Relations, VCCI. Tel: 04-5742022 (ext. 240)
