Vietnam - Africa Online Trading Floor Launched

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has recently launched the Vietnam-Africa online trading floor at http://www.vinafrica.com. This is an activity within the Vietnam-Africa Business Forum, which took place last October.
This an online information exchange channel in both Vietnamese and English, providing enterprises in Vietnam and African countries information about the land, people, economic situation, and export and import activities, markets, business opportunities of each country. More importantly, the portal helps enterprises to build their online stores to introduce their capability and products, and seek new business opportunities. Enterprises will have opportunities to carry out online transactions.
 
So far, the portal has gathered and sorted information about the land, socio-economic situation of Vietnam and nine other African countries. In particular, procedures for enterprises to register and build their stores have completed. Apart from developing content, the management board of the portal has provided guidelines for over 100 enterprises, which use and join the portal.
 
The portal has attracted around 3,500 members from 40 countries in the world. Vinafrica will be a main topic during the ASEANTEX 2005 in South Africa and the expected visit to Africa by Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An late this year. The portal’s management board has planned to update information in French for some French-speaking nations in Africa.
