Economic Cooperation Forum to Be Held in December

Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), received a working delegation led by Managing Director of Herald Artday Magazine Jin Young Choi and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association Ko SangGoo at the VCCI headquarters on November 10.

The visit aimed to promote business ties between VCCI and Korean companies and discuss the organizing of the Economic Cooperation Forum scheduled for December.

At the meeting, VCCI Vice President Hoang Quang Phong highly appreciated the visit, as well as the coordination of Korean organizations such as KOCHAM and KBIZ with VCCI in cooperation programs in recent years, and trade and investment promotion relations between businesses of the two countries.

He also suggested that, in the coming time, the two sides will need to upgrade trade promotion and strongly spread Korean culture, with special emphasis on further cooperation in human resources.

In response, Mr. Jin Young Choi also acknowledged the close cooperation of VCCI and expressed his desire to continue to receive enthusiastic attention and support in the coming time, especially in coordination with the Korean side to organize the Economic Cooperation Forum - the largest in a series of events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam- Korea diplomatic relations. The forum is hoped to attract Korean leaders and 200 Korean businesses. Herald Magazine will invite famous corporations such SK, Lotte and Samsung to attend the forum.

VCCI Vice President Hoang Quang Phong agreed on the plan, adding that VCCI is willing to work with the Korean side to open the Economic Cooperation Economic Forum and related programs. The two sides will continue to discuss specific cooperation programs so that businesses of both sides can take advantage of opportunities for cooperation, trade and investment promotion, he said.
