2023 marks the 20th anniversary of Roche’s Children Walk globally. To celebrate the occasion, Roche in Vietnam has creatively organized an internal walk challenge titled “20 million steps for the children of Vietnam”. Participating in the challenge, employees could choose to walk everywhere, everytime to contribute their steps into the program.

With the support of nearly 200 employees across the country, more than 21 million steps were collected. As a result, 200 millions Vietnam Dong was added into the local CSR fund.

To further support children in need, Roche Vietnam also organized direct donations and flea markets which helped to increase the total fund to 358 million VND - 3 times higher than previous year. Roche will match all employee contributions 1:1. The total sum will be divided to support underprivileged children around the world and in Vietnam.

Lennor Carrillo, General Director of Roche Pharma Vietnam shared “Together with colleagues around the world, through the legally independent global charity Roche Employee Action and Charity Trust (Re&Act), we are able to support children’s projects in which we partner with organizations like UNICEF, Child’s Dream and the Roger Federer Foundation. Millions of children especially in developing countries have benefited from new schools, computer labs, scholarships, healthy food programmes and much more, including Vietnam.”
