Leather & Footwear Exports Rise 14 per cent in Jan-Oct

Vietnam earned over US$2.4 billion from exporting leather and footwear products in the first ten months of this year, up 14 per cent against the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Trade. 
 
The figure in October was US$220 million.
 
The export of Vietnamese leather and footwear products to the US, Italy, and Turkey grew strongly, especially in October.
 
Vietnam exported nearly US$500 million worth of these products to the US in the first ten months, rising by 45 per cent on-year.
 
The country targets to earn US$3.1 billion from the export of leather and footwear products this year.
