The news comes as the ADC put an end to its investigation into anti-dumping duties on ammonium nitrate products originating from Lithuania and Viet Nam, according to the Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam (TRAV) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Viet Nam's manufacturing and exporting enterprises effectively cooperated and provided full information and data at the request of the ADC, making an important contribution to the positive results of the investigation.
Australia's trade remedy investigation activities are also assessed to be relatively objective and transparent, with full consideration of information and data provided by Viet Nam, thereby creating favorable conditions for the investigation.
As a result, Vietnamese goods still have the opportunity to continue being exported to the Australian market, it said.
Ammonium nitrate products from Viet Nam and Lithuania account for only 0.2 percent and 0.8 percent of the market share in Australia, respectively, according to the ADC.
It initiated an anti-dumping investigation into ammonium nitrate products imported from Chile, Lithuania, and Viet Nam in June 2022.
Viet Nam started exporting ammonium nitrate products to Australia in 2019, with 6,700 tons shipped. It raised the volume to roughly 38,600 tons in 2020 before cutting it down to 16,200 tons in 2021.
