Quang Ninh Customs Reports Revenue of VND10,419.19 Bln

The Quang Ninh Customs Department has collected VND10,419.19 billion in state budget revenue in the year to August 21, up 6.91% YoY or an increase of VND673 billion, fulfilling 90.6% of the full-year forecast (VND11,500 billion) and 86.83% of the target assigned by Quang Ninh province (VND12,000 billion).

In 2023, the department adopted export and import facilitation solutions to retain and attract companies to carry out customs procedures. As a result, its customs offices settled procedures for 1,201 companies (including 339 companies in Quang Ninh and 862 companies in other provinces), 21% more than the same period of 2022.

At the same time, Quang Ninh Customs consistently and drastically executed solutions to facilitate trade, enhance State administration and prevent budget revenue loss in 2023.

In the last months of the year, Quang Ninh Customs will prevent and combat smuggling, trade fraud and cross-border trafficking; handle administrative violations; actively capture and forecast situations; step up patrol and control; and strictly manage hot spots, complicated incidents and unsafe factors.

Quang Ninh Customs will also focus on solutions like reviewing and reassessing revenues and main sources of revenue on a monthly and quarterly basis; and proactively building a 2024 estimate. The department will continue to solve business recommendations and problems; facilitate and attract companies to carry out importing and exporting activities in the locality; and complete all tasks and plans.

Since early July, China Customs has increased the level of control over certain goods imported and exported through border gates and border markets which has affected import and export activities through land border gates.n
